These recommendations are composed proceeding from experience of repair in ports of Ukraine please accept them for preparation of a vessel for arrival in port:

1. Before arrival on anchorage of port without dependence from that will whether or not merge ballast from a vessel should replace ballast outside of a 12-mile zone
of port Kerch and make corresponding records in the logbook.
In port the analysis of quality of ballast is carried out with sanitary inspection and after reception of positive results authorizes on plums.

2. On arrival a vessel should have minimal draft (max 5,9 m) and a trim close to equal keel.

3. Pls, inform the port beforehand the variant of keel way (I or II) to be prepared for the vessel.

4. The following documents are necessary to pass Custom formalities on the territory of Ukraine.

a)      Certificate of class
b)      Certificate for sailing under flag
c)      Tonnage certificate
d)      The information on residual cost of a vessel (issued by owner, you may mention any cost of vessel, the copy of similar statement is attached)
e)      Contract

5. Various fuel and lubricant oils as taking place in tanks of the basic stock, and in flanks it is necessary to show in the Customs declaration with the big accuracy.
Their quantity on a withdrawal should not be more, than on arrival if in port officially was accepted nothing. Customs inspectors carry out control measurements of fuel
and oil and their actual quantity should correspond to the declared senior mechanic.

6. All materials and spare parts which arrived with a vessel and will be used during repair are a subject of declaring. To such subjects in your case concerns - the
complete set "Simplex", paint, anodes, etc.
Customs authorities are very strict to imported subjects and if, something is imported, used under repair and was not declared - the heavy fine or withdrawal threatens.

7. It is very desirable to arrive to port with empty capacities, bilge water tanks, sewage and sludge capacities having drained them in the sea with the help of the
clearing conventional equipment and having made corresponding records in the logbook.

8. In case you wish to remove bilges at the anchorage of any port in Ukraine, pls inform about this beforehand to order barge and to fulfill removing till arrival to yard’s
territory. Within docking period the bilge water will be transferred into vessel’s empty tanks. To remove bilge water from vessel will be possible either within berthing or
anchorage of any port of Ukraine.

9. Personal things and money of crew and also money in ship cash department should be declared.

10. The direct notice about the approach of a vessel should be - 72/48/24/12 hours before arrival.

11. Regarding to newly installed steel construction the areas of renewal should be marked with paint before arrival, also it should be done with pipe lines, mechanisms for the repair at the accessible places.
